Information You Provide
Information entered into a search box, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the provider that serves the results. Lakeville Residents Directory does not keep its own copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may generate basic server logs, including an IP address, browser details, pages requested, and time stamps. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support simple analytics or advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use this limited information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Lakeville pages link to Dakota County, Minnesota, court, archive, and sponsored-search services. Their own privacy notices control information submitted after you leave this service. That includes information submitted through sponsored results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers can receive the automatic information described here. We disclose information when required by valid legal process and otherwise only as this policy permits.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection. Technical logs are retained only for the time needed for the purposes stated above. Because there are no user accounts, the service does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
You may ask about personal information this service keeps, request a correction, or ask for deletion where applicable. Our research did not identify a single Minnesota consumer-privacy statute that controls a universal deletion request. The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13, instead governs access to records held by state and local government custodians. Because our own records are limited, a request usually concerns a contact message or technical log. Use the Contact page to ask. Requests about government data belong with the relevant Minnesota, Dakota County, or Lakeville custodian.
Policy Changes
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continuing to use the service after a posted change means you accept the revised policy.
